I might never write a song that feels as Weston as this one. Matt and I did a few things to spark it up from the og recording for this record but there wasn’t much to do. It worked and still does and I don’t know why. An older brother to Waking Up. After the heartbreak has settled and you are able to look at things with less intensity but perhaps more sadness.
lyrics
[Verse 1]
Go about you day
Hope it’s going great
How did you forget
How did I forget
The fourth of July and Christmas?
[Chorus]
Never wanna lose you
Never wanna leave you behind
Never wanna lose something so hard to find
[Verse 2]
Always in the fall
The feeling comes around
Drives me up the wall
Runs me in the ground
Cause you’re never in your window
[Chorus]
Never wanna lose you
Never wanna leave you behind
Never wanna lose something so hard to find
[Verse 3]
A box of books on the front porch
Fireworks on a golf course
11 likes on a picture
A distant day in a blizzard
[Chorus]
Never wanna lose you
Never wanna leave you behind
Never wanna lose something so hard to find
