What a summer with Taylor, sweating profusely in the basement studio and feeling this song like no other. It’s about getting too drunk and doing things you regret too often. Not remembering what you’ve said. Coming to terms with your own demons. I spent so long putting the words to this, finding the melodies. It came together so differently because there was never any guitar skeleton from which to work from. Tay was like bro please finish this. It had to be right, had to make a car shake.
